Quick Takes – A New Training Opportunity from CALMC

This week, we want to introduce a new training option from CALMC, our Quick Takes videos.

Since we have been at CALMC, we have had the opportunity to train thousands of employees from hundreds of locations in all parts of Ohio and in other states. While we enjoy providing training, we are beginning a new set of training opportunities to meet current demands.

As a result of cuts in many organizations, the fewer employees who remain are facing increased demands. Employers and employees find it more difficult to commit time for training. To help deal with this trend while still providing needed training, we have decided to make parts of our instructional sessions available on-line.

Beginning this week, CALMC is offering a series of online video presentations called Quick Takes. These videos are 3-5 minutes long, and provide an introduction to a topic or more detail about a specific facet of a subject. Every 2 – 3 weeks we will post a new video related to employee engagement, labor-management cooperation, effective meetings, or other topics relevant to employers and employees.

Our first Quick Takes video provides an introduction to CALMC and our services. We hope you will take a few minutes to watch it. We would also appreciate your feedback on the video and your suggestions for topics you would like us to address.

You can access our videos by going to our website, http://calmc.org and clicking the Quick Takes link on the front page or the On-Demand tab. You can also click the links in this blog entry.

You can watch the Quick Takes videos at your convenience anywhere on any computer, laptop, tablet, or smart phone. Our goal is to bring our training to you and your organization on your schedule. Perhaps it will help get you ready for regular training in the future.

Perhaps best of all, our on-line training programs, including our webinars and Quick Takes videos, are available free. This is made possible through the financial support of the City of Columbus and the Franklin County Commissioners, and the support of our members.

Take a look at our videos. We hope they will be useful to you and your organization.
